[10:30am-1:30pm] Sewing Techniques

Students will learn the sewing techniques necessary to make their own clothes including, but not limited to: sewing vocabulary, zippers, finishing seams, hems, buttonholes. By the end of class they should be confident in the ability to choose a simple pattern on their own, knowing their size, purchase appropriate fabric and notions, cutting and construction techniques. This class is a great way to reinforce what they have already learned here at Fabricland along with prepping them for "Sew Your Own" and more advanced courses. Prerequisites: Kids/Teens Can Sew Workshop and Sewing 101.

[2:00pm-4:30pm] Girls Pullover Top/Tunic

- 4 session class for ages 10-13
$100 class fee plus supplies, includes pattern
Mon Aug 2-Thurs Aug 5, 2:00-4:30pm
Using one of Simplicity's new Learn To Sew pattern girls will make a pullover top (two lengths to choose from) with elastic empire waist, short sleeves and decorative trim. Kids will learn how and why to use interfacing, how to sew facings, measure and mark for trim application and machine sewing hems. Fabric and supplies need to be purchased prior to class start. Prerequisites: Kids Can Sew Workshop, Kids Sewing 101.
