FREE DESIGN AND FASHION PROGRAMS OFFERED
AT NASSAUS IN PARAMUS DURING MONTH OF OCTOBER


During the month of October, Nassaus Window Fashions, 450 Route 17 North in Paramus will present a series of free programs for those interested in both fashion and interior decorating. On Thursday, October 3 at 1 p.m., Cathy Guterman, the store's director of marketing, will present a program called "New Trends and Ideas in Decorating: Getting Your Project Started." During this one-hour presentation, Ms. Guterman will show how to select fabrics, colors, patterns, accessories and window treatments to unify your rooms and create a harmonious balance in your home. On Saturday, October 5 at 1 p.m. Nik Reschetnjak, manager of the decorator fabrics department at Nassaus will demonstrate how to make a "no sew" window scarf using fabrics, trims, fusible iron-on tape and fabric glue.

Anna Mazur, a fashion designer, author and TV personality will highlight a special program on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to noon when she presents a demonstration on "Sewing Wearable Art". Anna, who appears frequently on HGTV'S "Sew Much More", will demonstrate the step-by-step technique for creating a jacket using tapestry and brocade fabrics from the decorator fabrics department. After her program, customers are invited to take a free bus trip to Fabricland, Nassaus' sister store in North Plainfield, for an afternoon shopping adventure.

On Saturday, October 26 at 1 p.m. Nik Reschetnjak will demonstrate how to make a "no sew" roller window shade and coordinated lampshade using an easy to follow kit. To obtain additional information about Nassaus free events and the Fabricland bus trip, call 908-755-4700 ext. 107.

 

On Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Anna Mazur, a sewing expert, author and TV personality will be at Nassaus Window Fashions, 450 Route 17 North in Paramus where she will demonstrate the special techniques for making a jacket using tapestry and brocade fabrics. Ms. Mazur, who has appeared frequently as a guest on HGTV'S "Sew Much More", will be show how to select fabrics, cut, sew, transfer patterns, stabilize and create a design of "wearable art" . Immediately following Anna's program, a bus will leave from Nassaus to take customers to its sister store, Fabricland in North Plainfield, for an afternoon shopping trip. Fabricland contains the largest dress fabrics, pattern and notions department in New Jersey.
