FABRICLAND PLANS "DEMO DAY"
SATURDAY, JUNE 7^TH

On Saturday, June 7th, Fabricland, 855 Route 22 in North Plainfield , will present anentire day of free special demonstrations - focusing on both decorating and sewing projects. Each program, which will serve to inspire creativity without spending a lot of time and money, will run approximately one-half hour and will be informally presented throughout every department of the store.

Beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing through until 4:00 p.m., a team of the store's managers willshare their expertise by showing customers creative, often "no sew" projects that are fun to do.

Ginny Davey, manager of the decorator fabrics department, will demonstrate how to make a "no sew" cornice using the Deco-Wrap kit. At 11 a.m., Mimi Turner, manager of dress fabrics,will offer first-time quilters suggestions on fabric selection, patterns and notions to begin a quiltingproject. Cathy Guterman, the store's director of public relations, will present a Design Trend seminarat 12 noon focusing on the latest in colors, fabrics and window treatments and at 1 p.m., Chris Gonch,

Fabricland's Sew Help troubleshooter, will present a program on how to achieve a perfect pattern fitduring her alteration demonstration. At 2 p.m., Ken Bisgaard, a manager in home furnishings, willdemonstrate the many ways to hang a window scarf creatively and at 3 p.m., Lisa Plocinski of decorator fabrics, will show customers how to make the easy and innovative Qwik Tach/Flex-On Loops window treatment. At 4 p.m., Cathy Guterman will be back to show how to fold napkins creatively to complement any dining room table setting.

Throughout the entire day, Amanda Uhrlass, manager of the store's Bernina Sewing Machine Department, will be sitting down with customers for 15-minute "hands-on" previews of Bernina's style 200, 185 and 165 -- the company's most advanced sewing and computer technology systems.
